One Step At A Time Behavioral Services, LLC. provides behavior intervention assessment, therapy, and consultation in the educational setting. Based in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and paired with evidence based education methodologies, the practice has been providing proactive services via a direct and hands on approach since 2010. Our team of professionals are dedicated to providing top tier and realistic behavioral intervention for educators, administrators, and other services providers. We work hand in hand with all individuals involved in the education process to develop effective plans for behavior intervention in the classroom, campus, district wide setting, Additionally, we collaborate with families and other service providers, in order to create lasting success on campus, at home, and in the community.

Our providers work with several school districts and campuses in the South Louisiana region. We spend our time directly active in the school setting. We are also willing to travel to you and provide these services in-person or virtually if you prefer. Our services are individualized to meet your needs.

Daniel has been practicing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis strictly in the educational setting for 15+ years. While he enjoys addressing all behavior concerns, his primary focus is on severe and chronic behavior concerns across all academic settings and the collaboration between educators, services providers, caregivers, and community members.

Lauren Gray, M.Ed.

Lauren has been involved in the field of education for 7+ years. First as a special education teacher in the severe and profound and inclusion settings and now in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Her primary focus is on creating effective change in the education setting through evidence based practices both behaviorally and academically, dedicated to the whole student.

Observations of the student across all types of activities, classes, etc.
Data collection including creating custom data sheets
Determination of target behavior definitions
Liaison with parents/caregivers

Behavior Intervention Plans

Data collection including creating custom data sheets
Determination of replacement behaviors
Guidance on determining best practice evidence-based interventions
Initial implementation of these interventions, utilizing teacher feedback
In-situ staff development and consultation to build skill set of teachers
One-on-one and small group therapy for behavior management when appropriate
Continuation of interventions, when necessary, in addition to teacher implementation
Continual assessment and evaluation of intervention success
Liaison with parents/caregivers
Creation of material needed during intervention

Skill Acquisition Programming

Evaluation of student academic progress/concerns
Guidance on determining best practice evidence based interventions to target
Academic skill development (this can also include non-academic skills such as life skills and executive functioning skills)
Initial implementation of these interventions, utilizing teacher feedback
One-on-one and small group therapy for skill acquisition when appropriate
In-situ staff development and consultation to build skill set of teachers
Continuation of interventions, when necessary, in addition to teacher implementation
Continual assessment and evaluation of intervention success
