We are excited to bring this new service to our Under The Oak Community. Our Educational Strategist and Family Support Specialist, Storey Smith, is working with families on understanding the educational pathway and potential for growth depending on the needs of their individual child. She here, with you, to take the next step in creating lasting success for your child.
Regardless of where you are in the process, from following the initial evaluation to collaboration between home and school, she is here to serve as an educational resource to families. Her primary focus is helping families understand, navigate, and confidentially implement proactive plans of action that best fit their individual needs, at home, at school, and in the community. She will ensure that these plans are clear, practical, appropriate, and meaningfully applied via collaboration between the child, their family, and their respective educational setting.
She is dedicated to the whole student and believes lasting change happens through thoughtful problem-solving, strategies that empower families, a focus on strengthening learning across all environments, and a trusted partnership across all team members. From compassionate understanding to thoughtful facilitation across the home, school, and community.
